Stephens House & Gardens is a Grade II listed building, situated in 10 acres of classically landscaped gardens, in Finchley, north London. It contains a number of interesting heritage buildings, including the main house, Bothy and stables and a unique and fascinating collection of trees. It was bequeathed by ‘Inky’ Stephens in 1918 to the local community and is managed today by an independent charitable trust. The House & Gardens now provide facilities for public enjoyment and private events. Over 2016, the Gardens and ancillary buildings are being improved by a Heritage lottery funded restoration scheme. Peter Kyte has been commissioned to photograph the project. You can see more about ‘Inky’ and the House and Gardens HERE.
